George Scott

Newmarket, Suffolk

George Scott began training in 2015 having had great grounding and education through his formative years as pupil assistant to Paul Nicholls, Mark Tompkins and Michael Bell before taking on more responsibility as assistant trainer to Lady Jane Cecil at Warren Place. It was in only his third season when he trained James Garfield to win the Mill Reef Stakes (Gr 2) and he’s gone on to have considerable success with his juveniles.

In the last few seasons George has gone from strength to strength. 2024 represented a remarkable season for George. Isle of Jura flew the flag for the yard winning the Bahrain Triple Crown before trouncing his rivals in the Hardwick Stakes (Group 2) at Royal Ascot. Prydwen provided George with a German Classic when winning the Deutches St. Leger (Group 3) to book-end a fantastic year that began with him winning the All-Weather Championship Marathon Final. And with the exciting Bay City Roller taking the Champagne Stakes (Group 2) at Doncaster, George is showing no signs of slowing down in 2025.

George is a very hands-on, personable trainer who is eager to grow the business and improve his results year on year. We are delighted to be a part of the exciting and growing team at Eve Lodge.
